Drover’s Road Preserve Conservation Subdivision

Client: Flying Cloud, LLC.

Drovers Road Preserve is the first Conservation Subdivision located in Buncombe County, North Carolina that has been planned and designed to protect and celebrate the property’s unique ecological features and historic past. A total of 23 lots have been sensitively located within the landscape offering meadow, woodland, and mountain views homesites with direct access to a 110-acre conservation easement that permanently protects a majority of the water and forested terrain. Drovers Road Preserve has won several awards for sustainable and ecologically sensitive design of a residential development. Equinox created a wildflower and grassland meadow and stream restoration for areas of the property that had been impacted and degraded overtime.  We also provided invasive exotic species control and revegetation plans.

I have been involved with the folks at Equinox in various projects over the last six (6) years and I endorse Equinox without hesitation. They have consulted on several real estate developments ranging from 2 acres to 196 acres. When my partners and I decided to develop our 1st project, a 196 acre parcel in south Buncombe County, NC; we interviewed a number of Consulting and Design firms. Besides having received an excellent referral by one of the most prominent and discriminating architects in our area, we were ultimately persuaded by their honest and enthusiastic approach.
